This gave me a great opportunity to take some pictures. I have come to enjoy taking shots in Aperture Priority mode, I love the use of depth of field! Looking for objects to compose well with good depth of field almost became a game for me.
A lot of my shots on the holiday were taken on the fly, as I mentioned before I didn't want to take up the holiday by stopping for 5 minutes at a time so I could get the perfect settings and perfect shot. I wanted things to be quick and easy and AP (Aperture Priority) worked perfectly for this. The beauty of using AP is that the exposure is solved for you and with the ever changing weather and light in Orlando this was a god-send!
Once the fog on the lens had died down finally the sun was just cresting over the Contemporary Resort hotel's roof and onto Narcoosee's restaurant across Seven Sea's Lagoon. A quick adjustment of settings and my aperture picked I took this shot. With some 'popping' done in Lightroom this was the outcome which I was extremely pleased with.
The use of Lightroom on all my pictures really 'brought to life' my images and just gave them that 'pop' of clarity and colour I think they needed.
I hope to use my camera more and more over the coming months and will be going back to the states again next March which will give me more opportunity to learn and develop.
